Maury A. Herman is a partner of Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar, L.L.P., as well as the national firm Herman Gerel, LLP headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Born in New Orleans, Mr. Herman received his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1968. He won the Moot Court Competition in 1968 and, from 1967 to 1968, clerked for Judge Luther Hall at the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Immediately upon graduation from law school, Mr. Herman joined his father, Harry Herman, and uncle, David Herman, in the family practice of Herman & Herman. In 1984, the name of the firm was changed to the present day Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar, L.L.P.
